Lin Gibbs grew up in rural Central New York, and was encouragedto spend lots of time outside playing. Getting to know the forests and fields surrounding her family home, she developed a deep connection and love for natural spaces, and inherited a love of birds from her mother.
Lin holds a B.S. from SUNY CESF in Forestry and Wildlife in Syracuse and an M.S.T. fromAntioch New England Graduate School in New Hampshire. She pursued a variety of environmental education work in Colorado, New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania before returning north. After a long association with the Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust, and years served as community programs director there, Lin is thrilled to be working with Save the River, supporting its mission by providing fun, meaningful experiences for all ages that foster a fuller understanding and love for the River.
