UPDATE: Registration is full for our Clayton cleanup on Saturday, July 25th and we are no longer taking sign-ups. Please consider signing up for our other cleanup sites in Cape Vincent, Thousand Island Park and Alexandria Bay.
On Friday, July 24th, we encourage neighborhoods and homeowners along the River to clean up their shorelines. Save The River will assist with supplies and trash removal if needed.
On Saturday, July 25th, Save The River will lead cleanups at the following locations: Wilson’s Beach in Cape Vincent; multiple sites in Clayton; Thousand Island Park on Wellesley Island, and Otter Creek in Alexandria Bay.
Save The River supplies all equipment, including trash bags, grabbers, and buckets, at each cleanup. Volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves and water, wear appropriate shoes, and be prepared to get a little dirty. Hundreds of pounds of trash are removed from the St. Lawrence thanks to Trash Free River volunteers, and STR expects another fun weekend of caring for the River!
