Calendar Photo Contest 2027-28
Submit Photos for the annual Save The River calendar!
Calling All River Photographers!
We are now accepting photos of the St. Lawrence River for our annual Calendar Photo Contest! Help us showcase the River, including its wildlife, shorelines, and scenery in all four seasons - winter and spring are especially welcome. Both print and digital images will be considered.
Photographers whose work is selected as one of the 14 featured images (cover plus 13 months) will receive a complimentary 2027-28 Calendar.
The deadline for submissions is Sunday, March 14, 2027.
Submit your photos using our online form below, or email outreach@savetheriver.org with the subject line “27-28 Calendar Contest”.
Submission Requirements:
- Include your first and last name and email address with your submission.
- Digital images must be high resolution and greater than 300 dpi. (Hint: The file size will be approximately 3 MB or larger).
- By submitting photos, photographers grant Save The River a non-exclusive right to use the image(s) for any purpose in perpetuity. Ownership remains with the photographer.
Photo Tips
For digital submissons:
- Consider the layout. Horizontal photos work best for our main monthly images. Vertical photos are welcome but may require cropping.
- Send the original, full-size image from your camera or phone rather than a screenshot or a copy downloaded from social media or a text message. If your email app offers a choice of image sizes, choose the original or largest available size.
- Attach each photo separately as an image file rather than placing it in a document or PDF.
- Leave room for the layout. Whenever possible, send the full image rather than a tightly cropped version.
- Check the focus. Zoom in to make sure the important details are clear and sharp.
Submitting a printed photo?
You can submit a high-quality scan of your print using our online form or by email. If you’d rather send the original print, contact us at outreach@savetheriver.org before mailing or dropping it off.
Your photo could be on walls around the world!
